Come to the Summer Reading kick-off Party and sign up for the Trash the T-shirt Contest. Summer Reading is open to all ages (even adults!) This year's summer reading theme is Read, Renew, Repeat. Take any old t-shirt and restyle it for this event. You must submit your restyled t-shirt by June 21. Styles will be displayed in the library and prizes will be awarded! Winners will be announced on June 24. This event is open to all ages! You must be registered for the Summer Reading Program on Beanstack to enter.

Onarga Independence Day Celebration is accepting applications for for businesses, crafters etc. to set up booths at this year's Celebration on July 6th. The cost is only $25.00 for businesses & profit organizations. Non-profit is free. Don't miss this great cost-effective opportunity. Enjoy the outdoors as you build healthy habits.  Each Wednesday thru June 12 join the Newton County Extension for a brief wellness lesson and walk around Cast Park in Kentland.  You will begin at the pavilion at 10:30am.  Contact the Newton County Extension Office to register - (219) 474-6081.

PAXTON TOWN WIDE GARAGE SALES

Ag in the Classroom will be at the Library on Friday, June 7th to make ice cream with the kids. After that, Rob from RW Property Service will conduct a Mock Livestock Auction at the library. Children under 8 will need a helper. Sign up is required as space is limited. Sign ups will be available during the Summer Reading Kick-off Party on Monday, June 3rd.

The Onarga Town Wide Garage Sales will be on June 14th & June 15th. There is no cost to having a sale, but if you want to be on the map and list you must fill out the form and return it to Domi at Federated Bank by June 10th.
